lmao okay I CAVE I WILL WRITE THIS ONE POST AND THEN OFF TO THE LIBRARY I GO
but yeah I’m about to write like a full page essay on a story route in a silly spin-off fighting game that no one really cares about in the long run THIS IS INCREDIBLY SILLY SO I WILL GO AHEAD AND PUT IT UNDER A “READ MORE”
The problem here is what you can take all this as. There’s 2 stances towards the whole story: A) Ryu clearly know what he was writting and he is a smart man and is decieving us into something or B) Ryu has no idea what he was writting past episode 5 and screwed up.
I like the story and all, but I feel like right after BT kicked the bucket, he lost all his inspiration and his momentum. Aside from the point that BT sounds really close to ”Beatrice” (which has to be a coincidence, right?) and the fact that Battler becomes a gamemaster (which one would guess that role is Ryu) around the same time, one would just start thinking about the whole story and where the hell we are standing with the plot of it. There were some parts of the story, specially episode 7 where I just wanted to devour my screen with the appearance of Will, which sounded like a cry for the readers to stop being heartless about the tale and try to understand the heart of it, and how then the whole ”I am Yasu, there are many of me, now my guts out of me” happend for no needed reason. I don’t want to speak about the endings of episode 8, where we were forced to eat the magic ending or watch the trick ending, which I ended up taking as the true ending of the series, except with the whole ghost of a certain likeable character showing up after all the Professor Layton like puzzles being solved succesfully.
To make this whole orderal a full circle, the fanbase sometimes doesn’t make any justice about it. In a ”Solve the mystery” kind of point, there will never be progress in that aspect due to the fact that people are way too busy destroying each other’s theories instead of just reading and/or listening through it all and just considering it as a possibility if it meets all the requierements and doesn’t break any rules at all.
With that said, I also highly doubt we will see Ryu saying ”This is the actual truth, finally, why it took you so long goats?” cause he tends to just points us to anywhere except to the right direction. So we will end up being busy with this story, tearing it appart until Ryu gives up and announces the truth. But that won’t happen, at all.
That’s my line of thought, sorry if I was everywhere with it but it’s just how I feel about this whole thing. I just think he tried to row a boat with 1 oar past episode 5.
